About Cooney

Andrew Cooney is a captivating bassist, vocalist and songwriter known for his smooth vocals and intricate songwriting. As a member of the popular Colorado band Tenth Mountain Division and an active musician within the Colorado scene, Cooney commands attention on stage with his melodic bass lines and vocals.

Cooney's bass playing "meticulously holds down the low end and the rhythm while also driving the melody and exploring the boundaries of the song," showing his versatility and musicality. His vocals have been described as "caramel-smooth" and he writes songs beyond his years, nodding to rock and soul's founding fathers while reaching new creative heights.  

In addition to Tenth Mountain Division, Cooney performs with numerous side projects and has shared the stage with iconic acts like Leftover Salmon, Nicki Bluhm, members of Dave Matthews Band and Little Feat, amongst others. Lauded as a rising talent in the Colorado music scene, Andrew Cooney brings technical skill and artistry to each musical endeavor.
